Split system air conditioning is the perfect solution for those who primarily occupy one or two areas within their homes. With this system, you have the flexibility to choose which rooms to air condition, rather than cooling the entire house.
What exactly is a split system? Contrary to its name, it doesn’t solely provide heating and cooling (although it can). Instead, it comprises two distinct components – an indoor unit and an outdoor unit.
The indoor unit, located within the home, delivers conditioned air into the space. On the other hand, the outdoor unit, also known as the condensing unit, resides outside the house. It houses the compressor and facilitates the circulation of refrigerant to and from its corresponding indoor unit.
While wall splits are the most commonly preferred style, there are various other options available, including floor consoles, bulk-head units, cassette styles, and under-ceiling types.
